I am currently a data scientist at Gainwell Technologies. Mostly building predictive models to identify problematic health insurance claims (fraud/waste/abuse), as well as predictive applications in population health. I have a PhD in Criminal Justice, and was a former academic. I’ve created this blog as a platform to share some of my work, opinions and divulge research tips I have found helpful along the way.

My interests in the Criminology/Criminal Justice field are broadly the spatial analysis of crime, discretionary police behavior, and evaluations of crime reduction programs. I also have broader interests in statistical analysis and data visualization.
